YOUTH AG DAY
THANK YOU to OUR SPONSORS!
The Solano County Fair Association (SCFA) has decided not to hold its annual Youth Ag Day as planned for
Tuesday, March 17, 2020. It is hoped that this is merely a postponement of the event and not an outright cancellation.
The decision to postpone was informed by evolving information and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as state and local public health agencies, along with the closure of Solano County schools. The SCFA has been following CDC warning guidelines, but the rapidly changing situation makes it difficult to predict future conditions. We are all disappointed but believe this is in the best interest of our community and schools. Thank you for your continued support of all SCFA activities, including Youth Ag Day.
Our Annual "Ag-venture" for Solano County Third Graders!
Youth Ag Day is a collaborative effort of the Solano County Fair Association and agricultural related businesses, organizations, farmers, ranchers and other individuals to encourage Solano County third graders to experience agriculture first-hand.
This fun and educational event is free to all third grade classes in Solano County and features a wide variety of hands-on rotational learning stations and displays. Activities are designed to give children the opportunity to learn about food and fiber production from new perspectives, with a particular emphasis on the agricultural wealth of Solano County.
2020 marks the 18th annual Youth Ag Day, an event that would not be possible without a dedicated core of volunteers, presenters from all facets of agriculture, and many generous individual and group sponsors who provide needed funds to subsidize bus transportation for students.

Youth Ag day is free to attend but some classes do need help with transportation funding
Donations of $550 cover the cost for one bus, but any amount is greatly appreciated by Solano County 3rd Graders!
